gpaw software package provides DFT and beyond within the projector-augmented wave method, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpaw
gpaw is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpaw package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpaw *
You will get with gpaw package name, version, architecture and description in a table
